These terms of purchase apply to purchases made in online stores using Shoppin ('the platform'). The platform is operated via Shoppin and provides technical solutions for online stores and payments.
Important: Each individual online store/merchant using Shoppin is the seller of the goods/services, and the purchase agreement is made directly between the customer and the respective merchant.

- Buyer: The consumer who places the order
- Platform: Shoppin – technical facilitator of online store and payment

Merchants on the platform may offer:
- Physical goods
- Digital products (for certain merchants)
Each merchant is responsible for ensuring that the products offered are legal, correctly described, and in accordance with applicable regulations. Certain product categories are not permitted on the platform according to the agreement between merchant and platform.
3. Prices and Fees
- Prices include value-added tax (VAT) where applicable
- Digital products (for certain merchants)
- Any shipping costs or other charges will be shown before the purchase is completed
The total price charged is the one displayed in the checkout before payment is confirmed.

Payment is handled via Stripe as payment facilitator on behalf of the merchant, and may include payment methods such as Vipps and bank cards.
- Payment is charged when the order is confirmed
- The platform may receive a facilitation fee from the merchant
- The buyer is only charged the merchant's total purchase amount
By making a payment, the buyer agrees to Stripe's and relevant payment providers' terms.

The merchant is responsible for delivery and fulfillment of the order.
Physical goods
- Delivery is made to the address provided by the buyer
- Delivery time and shipping terms are determined by the merchant
Digital products
- Digital products are normally delivered immediately after payment is completed
- Access may be provided via download, email, or user account
6. Right of Withdrawal
The purchase is subject to the Right of Withdrawal Act for consumers.
Information about the right of withdrawal, refunds, and cancellations can be found at: Refund and Cancellation
Any exceptions to the right of withdrawal, for example when delivering digital products or services that start immediately, will be clearly stated before the purchase is completed and require express consent from the buyer where required by law.
7. Returns, Refunds and Complaints
- Returns and refunds are handled by the merchant
- Complaints about defects follow the rules in the Consumer Purchase Act
The buyer should direct inquiries directly to the merchant's customer support: museumsbutikken@nhm.uio.no
8. Complaints and Disputes
